I am filled with anticipation and excitement as we begin our 21 Day Fast – “Awakening 2010”.
I hope you have set your plan in place, made a list of prayer targets for your time of fasting and have accessed the resource materials from church, or the website: awake21.org. Include family, friends, small group members and others in your fast, it’s great encouragement and accountability.
The Lord impressed three scripture passages on my heart as a corporate focus for this fast. I am praying these verses and these specific points over our church as we fast together.
Isaiah 50:4 -The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.
Zechariah 4:1, 6 – So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to (you): ‘Not by might nor by power,
but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Acts 2:17-21- (outpouring, prophecy, visions, dreams, signs, wonders) And everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord shall be saved.”
I am praying for a personal “awakening” for each person committing to this fast.
I am praying for God to speak fresh revelation of His Word each day, and give us the “word to sustain the weary.
I am praying for a fresh “outpouring” of the evidence of God’s Grace and Power over our lives!
Let’s agree together as we fast together. I believe we will rejoice together at the great things God does!!
